GlobePrism is designed to be usable by everyone. Here are the accessibility features we provide, our standard, and how to tell us about problems.

We want everyone to be able to read the news on GlobePrism, whatever device, ability or connection they have. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
Features that help
- Full keyboard navigation and a “skip to main content” link on every page; a visible focus indicator.
- Semantic headings, landmarks and labelled controls for screen readers.
- Light and dark themes that follow your device setting, with a manual switch; good colour contrast.
- Adjustable article text size and a read-aloud (“Listen”) option in supported browsers.
- Text alternatives for informative images, and captions where images carry information.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting; no auto-playing video or audio; no flashing content.
- Responsive layout that works from small phones to large screens, and zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
Known limitations
Advertising and embedded content from third parties (for example ads or a video player) is outside our direct control, and may not fully meet accessibility standards. We choose partners carefully and will raise problems with them.
