Accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish. We work hard to get every fact right, but when we make a mistake we want to fix it quickly and openly.

How to report an error

  • Email corrections@globeprism.com or use the contact form and choose “Correction request”.
  • Tell us which article it is (a link is best), what you think is wrong, and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information.

What we do

  1. We review the report promptly and check it against the original sources.
  2. Minor fixes, such as a typo, a broken link or a formatting problem, are corrected quietly.
  3. Factual errors are corrected in the article and we add a dated note in a “Corrections and updates” section at the bottom of the story explaining what changed.
  4. Serious errors that change the meaning of a story are flagged at the top of the article as well.
  5. If a story cannot be supported by reliable sources, we will remove it and explain why.

Updates versus corrections

A correction fixes something that was wrong when we published it. An update adds new information as a story develops. Both are timestamped so you can see exactly what changed and when.

Right of reply

If a person or organisation named in a story believes it is inaccurate or unfair, we welcome a response. Send it to corrections@globeprism.com and we will consider adding it to the story.
