Editorial Policy

Readers trust a news site only if they can see how it works. This page explains the standards behind every story on GlobePrism. If we fall short of them, please tell us at corrections@globeprism.com.

Our mission

To give people an accurate, clear and quick understanding of what is happening in the world, across every major field, without hype, and with the evidence in plain view.

Originality: we write our own stories

• Every article is written by our newsdesk in our own words. We never copy, paste or lightly reword another publication's article.
• We use other outlets' reporting the way any responsible journalist does: as a source to be verified, credited and linked, never as text to be reproduced.
• Quotations are kept short, attributed to the person who said them and linked to where they were published.
• We add value: context, comparison, explanation and a clear summary, so a reader learns something from us that a single source would not give them.

Sourcing and verification

1. Primary sources first. Where possible we go to the original: company statements and filings, court documents, government and agency data, scientific papers, official social accounts and press briefings.
2. Independent confirmation. Significant claims are checked against more than one reputable source. If a claim rests on a single source, we say so in the article.
3. Attribution. We say who said or reported what. We distinguish confirmed facts from claims, allegations, forecasts and opinion.
4. Numbers. We check figures against the original document and state the date and unit. We do not round in a way that changes the meaning.
5. Anonymous sources. We do not publish a story that depends solely on anonymous sources.
6. Every article lists its sources in a “Sources and further reading” section so readers can check our work.

How we use AI tools

We may use AI-assisted tools for research support, summarising documents, and drafting. AI is a tool, not an author: nothing is published until a person has checked the facts and figures against the cited sources and taken responsibility for the result. We do not publish AI-generated images that depict real people or real events as if they were photographs. Illustrations we create are labelled as illustrations.

Independence

• Advertisers, sponsors and partners have no influence over what we publish, and we do not sell editorial coverage.
• Ads are always labelled as advertisements and kept visually separate from our stories. See our Advertising Policy.
• If a story involves a company or person with which the publisher has a financial relationship, we disclose it in the story.

Fairness and sensitive topics

We aim to be neutral on political and social issues: we report what happened and what the main parties say, and we label analysis clearly. We take special care with health, finance, crime, conflict, and stories involving children or victims. Health and finance stories are general information and never a substitute for professional advice; see our Disclaimer. We do not publish graphic content for shock value and we do not promote hate, harassment or dangerous activity.

Images and media

Images on GlobePrism are either original illustrations created for us, images we own or have licensed, or images used with clear permission. Every image carries a credit where one is due. We do not take images from other websites without permission. If you own an image and believe it has been used incorrectly, contact us and we will act promptly (see Copyright policy).

Updates and corrections

When a story develops, we update it and show the “Updated” time at the top. When we make a factual mistake, we correct it and add a dated note under the article. See our Corrections Policy.

Timeliness

News moves fast. Every article shows the date and time it was published and, where relevant, when it was last updated. Numbers and facts are accurate as of that time.
