Amorim says Milan were not prepared

Milan coach Ruben Amorim said he wouldn't give up on the competition while his side were not mathematically out of it.

I won’t give up on this competition. As long as we’re not mathematically out of it, we’ll keep fighting in this competition, just as we do in the others,

Ruben AmorimAC Milan coach

His side gifted opportunities and made stupid errors, he said, and were not prepared to play football.

I don’t want to lie to my players. We cannot play like this in front of our own fans. It was a very poor performance.

Half-time changes fail to lift Milan

Torriani, Terracciano, De Winter, Diawara, Bartesaghi, Hutchinson, Jashari, Musah, Cisse, Rabiot and Goncalo Ramos made up Amorim's starting eleven.

At half-time, he made three substitutions: Mario Gila for Diawara, Christian Pulisic for Cisse and Diego Moreira for Musah.

Luka Modric came on for Jashari in the 63rd minute, with Francesco Camarda replacing Bartesaghi on 67.

De Winter was booked in the 51st minute and Cisse in the 32nd.

Managed by Balazs Borbely, Ferencvaros are led by Joseph, whose double settled the match; he is a Haiti international.
