Sam Fender has lowered ticket prices and removed front-row standing sections for his 2027 UK stadium tour following fan criticism.
The musician confirmed on social media that prices for the Proper Massive Stadium Tour were being adjusted after expressing dissatisfaction with reported figures.
"They're getting changed."
Initial listings for the tour had shown significantly higher costs. An Instagram user shared details for Wembley Stadium that listed front standing tickets at £130.75 and standard standing at £98.85. Seating at the venue ranged from £64.75 to £130.75.
Other venues displayed similar top-tier pricing. Listed prices reached £112.90 in Newcastle, £119 in Cardiff, £120.95 in Edinburgh and £119.60 in Manchester. Fender stated he was not happy with these reported figures.
"No more 120 quid standing tickets either."
Fender also addressed the structure of the standing areas. He said he had ensured equal opportunity for all standing ticket holders to reach the front by eliminating front standing tickets from the UK stadium tour.
The artist called the split of standing tickets into front and back tiers bollocks. He said it would not be happening on his tour. Fender questioned how such arrangements had become standard practice in the industry.
"I have no idea how this was normalised in gigs"
He acknowledged that production costs are astronomical compared to two years ago but noted he cannot control venue and ticketing fees, describing this as a sad reality of today's industry. The new prices exclude these variable fees and a £1 ticket contribution to Live Trust, which supports grassroots venues.

Under the revised structure, general admission standing tickets will be £85. Seated tickets will cost £95, £75 and £55. Fender said the initial prices had been inflated well beyond what he had in mind. He argued that prices should only rise in line with the cost of putting the show on.

Other artists have recently voiced similar concerns about affordability. Zara Larsson concurred with fans earlier this year regarding the high cost of her tickets. She said she did not control the prices but hoped to be more involved in setting them in future.
In a TikTok post in August, Larsson agreed that prices for her Bangkok show were very expensive. She expressed frustration that fans who genuinely want to attend cannot do so because of the cost.
"I hate the fact that people genuinely want to come, but they can't because of the prices"
The final total cost to consumers will depend on variable venue and ticketing fees, which remain outside the artist's control. Tickets go on general sale at 09:30 GMT on Friday.
