Xiaomi has confirmed that its Android 17-based HyperOS 4 will roll out globally in three waves from November 2026, reaching more than 80 devices.
The final version of Xiaomi’s Android 17-based HyperOS 4 is ready to launch starting November 3, 2026. The company confirmed the rollout schedule and will begin the global stable rollout in November 2026.
More than 80 devices from Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO are covered by the global HyperOS 4 rollout, which Xiaomi has begun. Eligible models are divided into three waves.
Which devices are in each wave
Xiaomi’s 17 and 15 series, Redmi’s Note 17 and Note 15 families, POCO’s F8 and X8 lineups, and Xiaomi Pad 8 tablets make up the first group of devices.
Updates for the second wave are set to start in mid-November. They will cover Xiaomi’s 15T series, POCO’s F7 and F9 families, Xiaomi Pad 7, and several tablets from Redmi and POCO.
The December schedule extends to older hardware: Xiaomi 14 and 13 series, Xiaomi 13T lineup, Redmi Note 14 family, POCO F6 series, and the Xiaomi MIX Flip.
| Wave | Timing | Devices |
|---|---|---|
| First | November 2026 | Xiaomi 17 and 15 series, Redmi Note 17 and Note 15, POCO F8 and X8, Xiaomi Pad 8 |

The update reaches back to the 2022 Xiaomi 13T. Xiaomi announced it in August, and beta access began for many of the company’s phones almost immediately.
HyperOS 4 is built on the core foundations of Android 17.
Design overhaul and performance claims
Xiaomi built HyperOS 4 with a new "Soft Light Glass" look. It features see-through panels, refreshed notification designs, lock screens users can customize, adaptable app folders, and widgets arranged in stacks. The interface also gets a Liquid Glass-inspired redesign, expanded lockscreen options, new ways to arrange the homescreen, and improved handling of floating apps and app orientations.
After 9 hours of use, HyperOS 4 reduces the time needed to launch 30 apps from 40.3 seconds to 36.8 seconds, Xiaomi said, an 8.7% jump over HyperOS 3.
Xiaomi claims that HyperOS 4 cuts down the overall launch time for 30 apps after 9 hours of usage from 40.3 seconds to 36.8 seconds, which is an 8.7% jump over HyperOS 3.
Xiaomi claims HDR photo capture time drops from 313.38 milliseconds to 240.16 milliseconds. It also claims fewer dropped frames while playing video.
After about a day of phone use, HyperOS 4's performance gains let apps open nearly 20% faster, Xiaomi said. A background AI algorithm drives the improvement, learning how the phone is used.
Xiaomi also touted HyperOS 4’s enhanced performance, which launches apps nearly 20% faster after about a day of using the phone.
AI features and privacy
Super XiaoAi 2.0, available in HyperOS 4, is powered by Xiaomi's MiMo large language model. The assistant can search photo libraries, manage schedules, operate supported smart home devices, and recognize products pictured on screen.
For sensitive tasks, including data deletion or sharing, users must confirm their actions under Xiaomi's privacy protections. Super Island now works with over 130 services.
Some capabilities are still limited to supported devices and China-specific software versions.
The company will release the update in stages so it can address major problems before they affect more users.
